God is in our Midst

The Lord you God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love. Zeph 3:17

Wanted to thank you all for your prayers for Micah Man and give you a little update…
Life at Children’s:
Last night was crazy, with all the rain the roof was leaking and I dreamt I had a broviac (it’s so time to go home =), ceiling tiles needed to be taken down and half ¾ of floor’s patients had to be dispersed throughout the hospital due to all the leakage. Thankfully our room was not one of those. But our poor nurses have had their hands full!

Micah’s counts are going up wonderfully now, thank the Lord! In one day his counts went from 0 to 323 and then from 323 to 907! Can’t wait to see what Tuesday’s counts are!
Lil man is feeling much better than before! His bottom is still very sore and they are treating him for a urinary tract infection. However, he is much for joyful and calm. Micah’s blood cultures have been negative (which is a great thing) and as soon as he is fever free for 24 hours he can come Home!! He has been spiking fevers daily but hopefully with his counts coming up and the antibiotics they will soon go away. He is enjoying his big boy bed at the hospital and it has been great to see him smile and watch him play.

Thank you all for your care and prayers- it can’t be said enough. We so appreciate you all!
Love,
Luke & Kriscinda, Braeton, Micah and Cianne

Your Grace is Enough

Hello All!
Thanks for being with us for the long haul, your care, meals, timely cards and prayers provide much strength and encouragement. There have been over 4000 visits to this Carepage in just five months!!!! How you have blessed our hearts!!!

“Your Grace is Enough” ….has been the theme of our last few weeks. As we have sung, prayed and clung to scripture. Chemo is severe and heart ache abounds as we learned of 3 of Micah’s friends who will soon leave this world and be with the Lord unless the Lord miraculously heals them. Our hearts have been heavy for their parents and family, if you could please remember Chloe, Adrian and Abi as you lift up Micah Man. Despite the hardships, God is at work and continues to provide peace, hope, grace and strength for each day.
Micah came home Friday after finishing his 5th round of chemo and we were able to enjoy a weekend at Maw & Paw’s, hanging out with the fam before going back into Children’s on Tuesday due to a fever.
He has not been feeling well at all, his counts are still 0 (they have been there since Mon) and he has been given blood twice, platelets twice and is on a morphine drip to manage the pain. His bottom is very sore and the mucositis is back but thankful not as bad. His urine and blood cultures are both growing things, so he is also on antibiotics. It’s so hard to watch him like this, but God is near to us. We are praying that his counts come up quickly, his fever would go away and that he will be feeling better soon!! The kiddos have been so sweet to each other, what a blessing to watch! Just yesterday Micah & Cianne were laying side-by-side in his crib and Micah was giving her sugar! Luke & I have been able to be at the hospital together some which has been really nice and helpful for both of us. Micah is drinking well and hasn’t been throwing up (thank the Lord). He’s been watching movies, reading books and is tremendously comforted by holding Dadda’s hand. We continue to be well taken care of and even though we don’t like being at Children’s we have wonderful friends here!
And we will praise Him in the storm for his love abounds to us!

Much Thanks to All!
Love, the Davis Crew,
Luke & Kriscinda, Braet-Braet, Micahnator and CC

“The Lord is gracious and merciful…the Lord is faithful in all his words and kind in all his works…the Lord is near to all who call on him. Ps 145: 8, 13, 18

Updates:
-LAST round of chemo- scheduled for July 7th
-MRI- scheduled for July 19
-Cianne- thanks for praying for our little girl! Here is the update on her…she has hydronephrosis, it is not a severe case and usually corrects itself if not it will require surgery as she gets older. The docs will continue to watch it and we are setting up an appt with a specialist at Children’s. For more info http://www.duj.com/hydroneph rosis.html

Home Again

Howdy!

Micah was able to come home last Tuesday afternoon, he had been in the hospital for a week due to a fever, mucositis, and infection. The mucositis lingered for quite awhile but his counts were 3000 last Tues (that's is great and the docs double checked them to make sure that they were right because they came up so quickly- that Sat they were only 90!). He is also eating and drinking so much better and we pray it continues! Little man had been very weak but he has regained much of his strength and is walking better.
The fourth round was very hard for all of us.... Micah was extremely sick and we struggled so as we watched our little one suffer. The last couple of weeks has been an emotional one for us as we seek to trust and glorify the Lord despite this valley we are trudging through. We are standing on your prayers and encouragement, oh how they minister to us- what a huge means of grace. Even in the midst of our sadness and discouragement the Lord has been ever faithful and we have experienced much grace and mercy for each new day... a card, an email, friends communicating their prayers, even just crying together and He is faithful to meet us in our quiet times with Him. How blessed we are to have so many who serve us so well, graciously carry our burden with us and spur us on. What Love!
The little things in life are much sweeter and more meaningful than ever before- home, the park, an evening with friends, even lines at the grocery store =) (we're together!) and how marvelous to watch our little ones together. Cianne is doing wonderful and her brothers love her dearly! She will get to go with us to Children's for Micah's next admission since she will be a month old. She is still sleeping alot and rolled over for the first time on 6/2!! We love having her! Braet- humm- what to say except that God is incredibly gracious- he has done so well and is very kind to Micah, the other day in Sam's Club he bowed his head and folded his hands as we were shopping and started praying for Micah, "Dear Jesus," he said, "Please help Micah and make him all better." Okay, tear time! Kleenex anyone... we shouldn't leave home without them lately! =)

Again Our Love and Thanks!
Luke & Kriscinda, Braeton, Micah and Cianne

Specific Prayer
- Cianne still has fluid around her right kidney (she had a Sonogram on Friday and they will continue to watch it), her kidney is still growing well but we would love for you to pray that the fluid goes away
- That Micah would sleep well (he doesn't seem to be resting very well)
- For the 5th Round, ease and minimal side effects for Micah. Also peace for him, that his little heart wouldn't be scared being back at the hospital
-That our eyes would stay focused on Jesus and the cross, how he suffered for us in a way that we will never know to take away our sin so that one day we would be with Him- never to know pain or sadness again but only to glory in our Saviour- Oh what a Day!!
