   So it has been a long week- or at least it feels that way. =) Nothing abnormal  just school, life and a sick lil one (well I guess the chicken pox is a lil abnormal!- poor Owey!). I am ready for weekend and for spring break!!!
  Today while I was looking up recipes for St Patricks Day- we love St Patrick and the man of God he was- it is great to be able to set aside a fun day of food & green to reflect and make memories. Anyway long story short I found this recipe and since it is Friday I decided to go for it and just to make sure they were good before I passed them on I sampled them and yep they are yummy and super easy so that is a great combo!

   So often a moms work, love, care and sacrifice is unseen by many and under appreciated.  Mom, there will never be words or praise on this side to put to all you have given to so many- for so long. I know that in the midst of the daily/ yearly grind =) all you do can seem rote, probably because giving comes so very naturally to you-  I am sure you don't see the beauty or the gift you are giving to so many; namely your family, grands and friends. There is no way to repay or no thanks deep enough, the ripple effects of your loving, care stretch farther than you can begin to imagine. A smile (okay and tears) come to my face as I imagine our Savior sharing the great tapestry, the grand ripple effect of your life - of living a life worthy and bringing voice of thanks to all the unseen. In the hard, please know much grace is seen. May this year bring much joy and refreshment to your heart.

It is hard to believe that lil miss is 3! So I asked the kids what they would say about their lil sis and here it is...

Super Bowl

So football season is coming to a close this very night. We are a divided house with teams but we have all come together tonight to support Braet and the Ravens!!!! Our celebration has been low key as we still have a sickie- Mom. But we have enjoyed some yummy food, watching the snow fall, playing with our squish, aka Owey, the kiddos and snuggling on the couch. Totally my kind of winter Sunday afternoon!
Braet, this is a note for you my boy. Tonight as we watch the game you have parked it on the floor with some cozy pillows. The girls are in bed and of course so is Owey man and I can't help but notice the absence of the lil bro who should be sitting next to you, joining in the fun. At times bud, it still seems surreal and I know your pain still comes in waves ( I'm sure it always will) we share it with you. We pray for you for we know the loss of your best friend can hit so hard, we still miss him too. Longing for the day when all will be made new. When your pain will be taken away and there will be one sweet reunion with Micah J and with your Savior! He lived- died and was raised- Conquering death and the grave, what a sweet victory to partake in. My his comfort always be near to your heart and the hope of heaven alive in your eyes as you live your life today full of purpose as you journey to that day. Love you so!

Well, what's happening here.... I think we have largely been in this month. It has seemed a bit crazy. I think Braet and CC are the only ones who have stayed well, fevers, coughs, snotty noses and lots of head colds- what everyone else is dealing with his time of year. The snow, lots of rain and even 60 degrees. I don't know about you but I am sure ready for spring now :) Although I am so looking forward to celebrating a lil princess' bday very soon , her request a purple Hello Kitty party. Yes she also wants a real kitty for her bday, sorry sweetie that isn't going to happen! But dear friends gave her an early gift and wouldn't you know a small stuffed animal- Hello Kitty- she has slept with it each night! Well that's us, we are hibernating for now and we hope to emerge soon!

So our lil miss is always keeping us on our toes and cleaning up after her discoveries.... Today writing on newly painted walls-ahhhh and here's a good one: I came downstairs to find her face covered with chocolate and a protein bar in her hand. So I asked her who gave it to her. Her reply, "Uhh.... Mater (our dog!) - yeah priceless, right!
