July 25 ~ 5 years with Jesus

July 25th marked five years with Jesus. I find it good for my heart to say the words in such a way because it reminds me of where he is so that I don’t just focus on the reality that he isn't here with us, he is truly in Heaven with Jesus. It can be hard  at times to know the words to say or how to relate the story—such as I find it now. We’ve learned and grown so much, Micah’s life and death has shown us so very much. We feel more deeply than ever before and yet we still miss a lil chubby man incredibly. A tier is missing from Braet to CC and thus tears. At times I cant help but wonder what life would be like with him and what adventures the boys would be on and oh how Owey looks like his brother! It does make Heaven all the sweeter….I love orange– the number nine, M&M’s, Pepsi, “Cars” and more– things that would have never been dear create memory, depth, comfort and longing.

  Thanks for the prayers over the years, the bags of M&Ms and tic-tacs, the donations to fav places , the stories and so much more. They are truly special to us.

2 Months

Lil Owey is now 2 months old. The fascination he siblings have for him has not worn off! He is still smothered with kisses and love and has begun to respond with smiles and goos much to their delight :).
He had his 2 month check up and he is 13.2 lbs! Our biggest lil man. All the other kiddos have been 10% for weight but not our lil whopper who is 75% ! He sure is growing fast!

Recital

     Today was Braeton and Cianne's very first recital. It was sweet. Over the years Braet has had some wonderful teachers. We started with our dear friend Helen Lowe and next was aunt Ally. Ally is now in hair school so Miss Rachel is their new teacher. Braeton has been playing for nearly 3 years now and CC just started this March.
   There were some butterflies but it is great to be playing with friends in front of family. I'd say for their first performance it went well and I cant wait to see the next one!  Dabbs, thanks so much for opening your home!

Life with 4

:) We are adjusting to life with 4-controlled chaos! Really it has been great, of course we have our bumps but we are all so loving our lil O. He is a great baby, I am getting some sleep and school is out for the summer so that is wonderful break for all of us. Now we have been busy with more
Important things like snuggling our lil man and enjoying outside.

Luke and I are working to plan some summer fun things but mainly we are just looking forward to time together.

Summer Celebration

   The big kids were at Summer Celebration this week. It is a wonderful camp and this year the theme was space- complete with a crashed spaceship on stage and Josh Cooley and Matt Maka (the teacher astronauts ) descending from the ceiling. Here they are on Crazy Hat Day. Braet won 3rd place!!
