Heaven at Last

Face to Face with Jesus
At 6:10am this morning our baby Micah went to be with the Lord. No more suffering, no more pain, no more waiting. Face to face with our king and Savior Jesus at last.

"Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?" The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who give us the victory through Jesus Christ."

Forthcoming information in regards to the viewing and funeral

We are so saddened for you family today and simultaneously so overjoyed at Micah's first day with Jesus. How merciful and wonderful to know he flew from your arms to our Savior's! There are no adequate words, but we pray for God's comfort and that His presence, pleasure and love for you would be tangible during these days. It was His knowledge of this day that was part of His provision on the cross. His Son for yours. What hope He has provided in the midst. We love you and will continue to pray.

I have thought about your family every day since my daughter Jennifer (Schaefer) shared your story with me. I grieve for your family, but know Micah has touched my life forever. When your family took the time to send me Get Well Wishes and picture of your son (taped to the front cover of my journal) I knew he would be in my heart always. I look forward to meeting your family.

Oh, how my heart aches for you, yet I rejoice to think that Micah is only a little farther up ahead than the rest of us. He has entered into the Place where no sorrow can ever intrude; where all tears are forever wiped away; where the Arms that created him and were once nailed to a wooden beam for him are now wrapped around his perfectly healthy body. And it won't be long before each of you are there - reunited with joy unspeakable. Just a little while, and we'll be "forever with the Lord."

I have never met your family, but Helen Lowe shared your website with me and I've prayed for you as the Lord leads during these past few weeks. I couldn't help but post to your site when I read the news today about Micah. Please know that I am asking God to draw near to your family in a way that you've not ever experienced before; may His presence give you supernatural comfort and peace. These next few days and weeks will be especially difficult, but I encourage you to keeping making the most of your "Micah Man". May God give you the strength to continue praising Him during this difficult trial. He is faithful and worthy.

Micah is now with Jesus, and you will see him again one day! Hallelujah!

My heart breaks for you all. You're constantly in my prayers.

"No more sin,
and no more pain,
we are goin where the streets are made of gold!

No more tears for they'll be wiped away.
We are goin where the streets are made of gold!

And if we just could see one glimpse of what will be,
We'd run to live this race,
Living our lives by faith.

No more death for it's been overcome,
We are goin where the streets are made of gold!
Where oh grave is your vict'ry song?
We are goin where the streets are made of gold!

Because Heaven is our home,
Where we'll reign forever shining like the sun,
With our King forever
And every sorrow gone
We'll rejoice forever!
Heaven is our home."

Jesus conquered death at the cross. Even as the Davis family and the church family grieve over Micah's death, we can grab hold of the promise that the grave does not have the last word. Little Micah is temporarily separated from his family, but because Jesus defeated death, in a short while, the Davis family will hold their little boy again.
